Cast your minds back to last weekend and you might just remember a certain Charlotte Church going head-to-head with a certain Katie Hopkins over their political views.
Well, family and friends, ladies and gents, things have just been kicked up a notch after Katie decided to write about said spat in her column for The Sun.
ICYMI, it all started when the notorious loudmouth took to Twitter to do what she does best and hit out at Charlotte, who was taking part in an anti-austerity march in Cardiff City Centre following the conservatives’ General Election victory.
She posted a link to her article, which was basically giving the middle finger to those who didn’t want a Tory win, along with a photo of the 29-year-old singer on said march and a photo of the 40-year-old herself dressed like The Queen.
In the tweet, she wrote: “Oi! @charlottechurch wind your neck in. Your Welsh AND you lost. Own your problems.”
The ‘Crazy Chick’ songstress was quick to bite back, replying to Katie: “I have no interest in ever conversing with you. You lack humility AND you can’t spell. Parasite.”
When one user asked her if she’d ever take part in a charity boxing match against the rent-a-gob, the singer admitted: “I’d relish to opportunity to lawfully smash her face in. #i’dtrainhard #likearockymontage #foreveryone.”
So, that’s a yes then?
She then tweeted Katie directly to ask if she’d be up to it but sadly received no reply – UNTIL NOW.
In her column for The Sun, she wrote: “She even took to a loudspeaker [during the march] to tell other Welsh people how mad she was, while chugging a Greggs’ steak slice side-ways in her rage – a fat, Welsh, Russell Brand.
“I have never been a big fan of chubster Charlotte Church. Voice of an Angel? mouth of a gutter wench.”
Replying to Charlotte’s request for a charity boxing match, Katie reckons “a bit of fisticuffs” could be right down her street.
“Come on Charlotte, let’s see who’s tougher. While you were eating sausage rolls in between songs, I was graduating from Sandhurst and running 800m for the Army,” she added.
“Despite being a different weight division, and the fact my arms dislocate when I sneeze, courtesy of my epilepsy, I still reckon I could knock that gurn off your face.”
Crikey. Well, at least she replied, eh?
Charlotte has yet to speak out on the article, but something tells us this feud isn’t quite done yet.
