She’s already said her piece on Twitter but it would seem she’s got more to get off her chest.
Katie Hopkins has launched another scathing attack on the late Peaches Geldof, hitting out at those who have branded her a ‘fallen angel’.
Writing in her column for The Sun, the 39-year-old has spoken out about the results of the inquest into the 25-year-old’s death, which revealed she had died of a heroin overdose.
She wrote: “I am sick of hearing all this “fallen angel” nonsense. I am tired of all the sycophantic fawning about her difficult, moneyed life.
“I sat on the sofa at This Morning with her and listened to her lecture me about parenting. Peaches told me how dedicated she was to her children and that her way was the only way. She pointed out my failings as a mum. I’ll admit my flaws are many.”
Katie then went onto say that due to Peaches being so well known, people have let her off the hook too easily for her actions.
“Just as we all suspected, Peaches died of an overdose, slumped over her bed, surrounded by the stuff of an addict, syringe, knotted tights, burned spoon — and an 11-month-old child,” she continued.
“I have kept my silence about the truth of the woman. But frankly, enough is enough.”
“If a 16-year-old from a sink estate had kept her syringes in a box of sweets while her 11-month-old crawled around her dead body we would never hear the end of it. If a young mum on benefits died, leaving her baby alone for 17 hours, she would be torn apart in the press.”
The outspoken star then went on to claim that if the shoe had been on the other foot and she had been the one to die of an overdose, people’s reactions would be very different.
“Celebrity status must not — and cannot — be allowed to excuse dark deeds. A celebrity mum is no less a criminal than a 16-year-old mum from a council estate,” she added.
“If you choose drugs over your kids, your kids should be taken away. If I died of a drug overdose I can guarantee I would not receive the impunity Peaches has been granted.
“Before you angrily remind me of ‘those two poor boys’, remember, I am not the one who left them behind.
“Peaches was no fallen angel.”
Regardless of whether or not Katie has a point, surely it’s time she left Peaches to rest in peace now?
