Katie Price is one proud mum after watching her ‘amazing’ son Harvey play piano at the iconic Royal Festival Hall.
N’awww! And congratulations, Harvey! That’s one heck of an achievement.
Katie, 36, was bursting with pride as she took to Twitter, sharing a photo of her 12-year-old son performing with his school friends (reportedly) on the iconic stage.
She wrote: “So proud of my Harvey tonight playing the piano at Royal Festival Hall
Harvey has limited vision as he suffers from the rare genetic condition Prader-Willi syndrome, making this achievement even more special for the family.
Katie, who was joined by mum Amy for the incredible occasion, then tweeted a close-up photo of Harvey being AWESOME on stage, writing: “Harvey is absolutely amazing love him so much xxxx.”
N’awww! Congrats again, Harvey. You should be super proud of yourself!
The Celebrity Big Brother winner appeared on This Morning with Harvey and Amy last week to discuss the challenges she faces with her son’s condition.
Harvey is on the autistic spectrum, can’t walk far without help and has to take six types of life-saving medication every day, but still maintains a real passion for music.
The family told Eammon and Ruth that he loves playing instruments, including the piano and drums, and loves listening to music, with his favourite song being Adele’s Skyfall.
The family also spoke about his progress, with Amy explaining: “He doesn’t have to use a braille machine which is a real bonus because we never thought he would be able to see let alone be able to read.”
However, Katie also acknowledged that things can get tough at times.
She said: “Because he was my first, I don’t know any different. He is hard work – you do play up for mummy sometimes don’t you Harvs?”
Harvey then cheekily replied: “Yeah babe!” (amazing), before Katie continued: “He’s on the autistic spectrum as well, and obviously he’s twelve so he’s heading towards the teenage stage so he’s going to have them hormones on top of the behavioural.”
We reckon you’re doing a fantastic job of raising a wonderful son, Katie. And who knows – maybe we’ll see Harvey at Wembley one day!
