Bad news if you were hoping the Bad Blood between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift would simmer down anytime soon, because the ‘Teenage Dream’ singer has apparently penned her own tune to hit back at Swifty.
AND SO IT CONTINUES.
Yep, hold on to your hats, grab the popcorn and make yourselves comfortable, because according to reports, we’re going to hear Katy ROAR as she hits back at her 25-year-old rival’s song.
The Mirror reports that the 30-year-old is going to let the music do the talking, having recorded a brand new song called ’1984′.
Katy’s apparently legally and officially registered the song’s title on BMI, a major music publisher, meaning it’s a legit, copyrighted song.
It also appears that she’s shunned producers Max Martin, who worked with Swifty on ‘Bad Blood’, and Dr Luke for the track, as they don’t show up in the song’s production credits.
’1984′ doesn’t sound too harmless at first, but when you consider TayTay’s last album was called ’1989′, it suddenly becomes pretty ruddy obvious that she’s got her own Bad Blood to report.
We’re DEFINITELY going to need more than band-aids to fix these bullet holes.
KP’s friend has already hit out at TayTay’s ‘Bad Blood’ video, seemingly slamming the singer for apparently “using a group of women to take shots at another woman.”
DJ pal Trevor McFedries took to Twitter to defend his friend after the video was unveiled at the Billboard Music Awards, later adding: “lets be good to each other” [sic].”
