Katy Perry is apparently masterminding the ultimate revenge on Taylor Swift for her diss track, ‘Bad Blood’, that featured on the 25-year-old’s 1989 album.
According to new reports, the ‘Roar’ singer is planning to humiliate Tay by performing a brand new song inspired by her, cruelly titled: ‘She’s So Creepy’.
Erm… That’s way harsh, Kate.
As if to rub salt into the wound, the 30-year-old is allegedly planning on performing the track for the first time during her Super Bowl halftime performance next month, aka an event that the world and it’s wife will most definitely be watching.
Ooft, talk about extensive planning.
Even if Katy has a change of heart and decides against attempting to publically humiliate Taylor on a frickin’ global scale, ‘She’s So Creepy’ will definitely be featuring on the repackage of Katy’s last album, alongside two other tracks, ‘In Flames’ and ‘Heartache Crusader’.
Just in case you’re a tad behind on the biggest beef in the pop world, this whole kerfuffle started when Taylor had an interview with Rolling Stone magazine when promo-ing her fifth studio album last summer.
The star of the moment unintentionally opened a bloomin’ massive can of worms when she thought that she described the ‘mystery popstar’ that diss track ‘Bad Blood’ is about super stealthily.
She said: “For years I was never sure if we were friends or not.
“She would come up at awards shows, say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’
“She did something so horrible, I was like, ‘We’re just straight-up enemies’.
“It wasn’t even about a guy! She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour – she tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”
Unfortunately for Taylor, fans these days notice e’rything, and her subtle comments were not subtle enough with detective types soon speculating that she was talking about Katy stealing her tour dancers from the get-go.
Then things intensified even more when Katy added fuel to the fire with a Mean-Girls-referencing Tweet:
It was all very dramatic.
Finally, the feud came to a head when an old interview with dancer Lockhart Brownlie resurfaced, which pretty much confirmed that the fans were right and dancers jumped ship and left poor Taylor high and dry after Katy hired them mid-way through Taylor’s Red tour to perform on her own Prism one.
Eeek, not cool.
Months later, Katy kept the Kaylor feud going with her boyfriend Diplo slagging off the star for being small-chested (three cheers for feminism), and Katy sending a cryptic, yet blindingly obvious tweet, about ‘not trusting’ certain celebs.
She wrote: “Tbh I don’t really trust people that continually look down the barrel of a paparazzi lens.”
And while she could *technically* be talking about anybody, we couldn’t help but notice that Taylor DOES always seem to look down the lens of the cameras when she’s papped out and about.
Hmm… coincidence? WE THINK NOT.
And that does also appear to fit rather nicely into Katy’s attempt to label Tay as ‘creepy’.
The plot thickens…
Even though we do think that it’s all very mean if it is true, there is a big part of us that can’t wait to hear the song and find out what Katy really has to say about the whole thing.
And something tells us that Taylor will be too busy shaking it off to pay her any real attention anyways.
