She’s usually as private as possible about her personal life.
But now Kelly Brook has opened up about the ‘devastating’ and ‘painful’ miscarriages she suffered while dating Thom Evans back in 2011.
In The Sun‘s serialisation of her new book, ‘Close Up’, the glamour girl, 34, admits to having a SECOND miscarriage just eight months after her first.
Speaking about losing her first baby, six months into her pregnancy, Kelly wrote: “Because I was around the six month mark, everyone was torn between whether this should be seen as a miscarriage or a still birth.
“In my mind, it was a miscarriage.”
She added: “It was the most painful thing. I was bedridden for two days with enormous boobs, covered in cabbage leaves…Thom and I spent a lot of time crying that week.”
But while Kelly’s first pregnancy made headlines back in April 2011, she stayed tight-lipped about getting pregnant for a second time, just a few months later.
She wrote: “Later I went to see my doctor, who said, ‘The best way to get over this is to try and get pregnant again.’
“So Thom and I weren’t careful, and just before Christmas 2011, I got pregnant again.”
“The look on Thom’s face said it all. I think he was terrified … I had another miscarriage after a few weeks.”
Poor Kels admitted that the second miscarriage was one of the main catalysts in their break-up a year later.
After Thom got signed to a major modelling agency in LA, the couple drifted apart and Kelly reckons that he didn’t want a wife and kids to hold him back.
She wrote: “He wanted to focus on his ‘new life’ in LA – a wife and children would slow him down. He didn’t want to be in a relationship anymore. It was obvious.”
After a really rough few years, we’re SO glad that Kel has found love again with David McIntosh, who she’s planning to marry this year.
Onwards and upwards!
