She recently revealed her devastation after having two miscarriages in one year.
And now Kelly Brook has opened up about her traumatic childhood, admitting that her parents would drink too much at the weekend and end up having violent rows.
Poor mini Kels!
In her autobiography, Up Close, which is being serialised in The Sun, the star claims that she would actually DREAD the weekends as a kid.
She wrote: “My earliest memory is of my mother throwing an iron down the stairwell at my dad after he came back late from the pub.
“I used to dread the weekends growing up. Sundays especially.”
Kelly, 34, admitted that many of the drunken rows would result in the police being called as things regularly got out of hand in the family home.
She wrote: “My parents would spend too long in the pub, come home p***ed and eat the burnt Sunday lunch. Then there would be a fight and the police would be called. Or my dad would drive off in his truck.”
But one particular incident stayed with the star when she was just THIRTEEN years old.
Kels wrote: “One of the worst times was when my dad came back from the pub and started throwing furniture around, while mum and I huddled out of the way.
“My mother, Sandra, called the police and my dad, Kenneth, tried to climb out of the window to escape. He broke his leg trying to avoid them and they had to carry him down the stairs.”
She added: “It was one of the most traumatic events in my childhood. It was shocking. I was 13.”
The bride-to-be opened up about her difficult year with former-fiance Thom Evans earlier in the week, revealing herbaby trauma.
Speaking about losing her first baby, six months into her pregnancy, Kelly wrote: “Because I was around the six month mark, everyone was torn between whether this should be seen as a miscarriage or a still birth.
“In my mind, it was a miscarriage.”
While Kelly’s first pregnancy made headlines back in April 2011, she stayed tight-lipped about getting pregnant for a second time, just a few months later.
She wrote: “Later I went to see my doctor, who said, ‘The best way to get over this is to try and get pregnant again.
“The look on Thom’s face said it all. I think he was terrified … I had another miscarriage after a few weeks.”
We’re so glad that she’s now found happiness – bring on the Wedding!
