Congratulations Kerry and George!
The official first photos from Kerry Katona and George Kay’s Wedding have landed, and doesn’t Kerry make a beautiful blushing bride?
Kerry is now officially Kerry Kay (got to love the alliteration) after getting hitched in a super romantic ceremony on the 4th September, and OK magazine were there to document the entire thing for our viewing pleasure – yay!
The 34-year-old wore a gorgeous Mori Lee wedding dress and her kids played a pivotal role in the ceremony, with her eldest daughters acting as bridesmaids and her only son, Max, walking her down the aisle to Shania Twain’s ‘You’re Still The One’.
What a classic.
Speaking to OK magazine just moments before entering the venue to exchange his personally-written vows, 35-year-old George said: “I know she is going to look stunning. I’ll probably just start crying like a baby.”
Not what we expected from the tough, former jailbird.
Before walking down the aisle Kerry also revealed: “I’m going to be emotional but also dead embarrassed because everyone is going to be looking at me. I’ll probably end up legging it down the aisle and throwing my arms around George saying ‘Help me!’”
Kezza, this is your third marriage – surely you must be used to having all eyes on you in a bridal gown by now?
Thankfully, the Atomic Kitten singer managed to make it down the aisle at a normal speed and the ceremony couldn’t have gone any better, with the overwhelmed bride gushing: “Oh my god, I’m made up – I married the love of my life and this time it’s forever.”
Let’s hope so!
The mum-of-five was surrounded by her children, including her and George’s first child together, 5-month-old Dylan Jorge, as well as a whole host of celebrity guests.
Although Kerry has since fiercely denied the rumours that her bestie Katie Price threw a bit of a strop because her size 8 dress didn’t fit her, it appears that true to reports Katie was in fact wearing a black and white playsuit instead of a dress.
Make of that what you will.
Meanwhile, Kerry’s former bandmate, Natasha Hamilton, showed off her growing bump in a slinky orange number and caused plenty of dramz herself when she had a massive pregnancy scare and went into false labour at the reception - talk about stealing the bride’s thunder, eh Tash?
Other, less dramatic, celeb guests include Michelle Heaton and Mel B’s sister Danielle, who was one of Kerry’s five bridesmaids.
Kerry reportedly banned the sale of alcohol at the reception so that no one would get lashed up and ruin the big day.
We can kind of understand her trepidation after a rather *ahem* eventful couple of months and a series of late night rows with her hubbie-to-be.
Just last month George was admitted to hospital after a concerned motorist called the police when she saw him running down the road near his and Kerry’s home screaming that someone was going to kill him.
He was reportedly shouting: “Kerry, Kerry, they’re going to f***ing kill me. They are hitting me with the hammer. Why are you letting them do this?”
After the incident, the couple reportedly had another major bust-up during their joint stag/hen do, which lead to the wedding nearly being called off.
So yeah, we’re thinking that no booze thing was probably a good call!
The happy couple had their first dance to Dobie Gray’s Drift Away and an emotional Kerry couldn’t have been happier with her big day, gushing: “It’s been amazing, just out of this world – I’m speechless, it couldn’t have gone any better.
“It was just the most amazing feeling. Now I have met my soulmate.”
