From emotional outpourings to removed statements or totally ostrich-ing on the issue, every celebrity has had a different response to The Fappening nude photo scandal.
But Kim Kardashian‘s response to the iCloud hacks is definitely the best of them all – and in the most subtle way possible… we think.
Following the leaking of pictures of what looks like Kim posing naked in her bathroom, the 33-year-old took to Twitter to sweep Celebgate under the rug.
Tweeting a random cropped picture of hubby Kanye, she added the caption: “I’m so lucky #MyFineAssHusband.”
Just us, or is that hashtag a sly nod if you remove just one word…?
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star – who was made famous by her sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray J – hasn’t said another word on the topic.
Her spokesperson told Yahoo: “There is no comment.”
Kim initially shared outrage on the first wave of hackings, telling E! that it’s a ‘wake-up call’ to celebrities.
She said: “I think it’s a wake-up call for people to make sure they have every privacy setting. It seems like there are a lot of people that love to spend their time hacking peoples’ information and that’s just a scary thing.”
But, as usual, the world of social media has been buzzing with conspiracy theories on the leak, with some users claiming Kim may have leaked her own pictures after spotting that the snaps appear to show her using a Blackberry, which does not store images on Apple’s iCloud.
Despite the claims – which Kim will be used to after years of being accused of leaking her own sex tape – the reality star seems totally unfazed, instead promoting her appearance on American Dad.
Meanwhile, Johnny Depp’s fiancée, Amber Heard, is the lastest celeb to be swept into #Celebgate after topless photos of her emerged online.
The stunning actress apparently appears in over 50 photos which have been shared on Reddit, with one allegedly showing the 28-year-old holding up a sign which reads ‘Tonto’ – her rumoured pet name for 51-year-old Johnny.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the leak is going to end anytime soon, with a mysterious website popping up today threatening to release Emma Watson’s alleged nude photos in just four days’ time.
The website shows a picture of the actress wiping away a tear with a digital timer counting down the seconds to release.
Ironically, this threat of exposing Emma in a violating breach of her privacy after stealing her private images, comes just two days after she delivered a powerful and empowering speech on feminism at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
The actress was launching her ‘HeForShe’ campaign for men and boys worldwide to end gender inequality, advocating the important role that men have in helping women and girls achieve equal rights.
The 24-year-old Goodwill Ambassador for women described her decision to call herself a feminist “uncomplicated” as she spoke of a need for there to be more feminists in society.
And, well, doesn’t this kind of prove her point?
Over the weekend a whole host of famous women found themselves victim to the second wave of nude photo leaks after a mysterious hacker gained access to their iCloud accounts and stole intimate images.
Rihanna had fully nude images emerge online last night and is never one to shy away from sharing her opinions with her fans, so although she is yet to make any comment about the leak yet we will definitely be keeping an eye on her Twitter page for a trademark Rihanna rant.
Unfortunately for Jennifer Lawrence dozens more of the actress were added to the already huge selection that were originally leaked with the first wave of photos at the start of the month.
It is now believed that the total amount of nude photos of J-Law alone is around the the 60 mark.
Gabrielle Union, Vanessa Hudgens, Kaley Cuoco, and Hayden Panettiere were also targetted over the weekend.
Gabrielle gave a very angry statement to TMZ, which confirms that the snaps are real, saying: “It has come to our attention that our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures.
“I can’t help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time, women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them.
“These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide.
“For anyone out there also being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes – we send our love, support and prayers. We have done nothing wrong.”
Elsewhere, nude photos of One Direction’s Liam Payne began to circulate online in the midst of the second wave of the #CelebGate leaks, but they were not thought to be related to the 4Chan and Reddit hacks.
The frankly rather bizarre photos showed Liam performing a sex act on what appears to be another man, with at least one other person present.
The 21-year-old has since strongly denied that the photos are of him, saying that he would “rather Tweet a full frontal than have people look at that”.
To which we say: DEFINITELY TWEET A FULL FRONTAL PLEASE, LIAM.
After all, wouldn’t it be nice to have a consensual nude to appear online for a change?
