The 34-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is to be awarded with a doctorate from The california State University – and it’s all down to her selfie obsession.
Who knew taking up to 1000 selfies a day would actually pay off in the end?
Dr. Edgar James, head of photography at CSU, released a statement on behalf of the university explaining the decision.
It reads: “In years to come, when people are looking back at this moment in photography, it will undeniably be remembered for the selfie.
“We have no doubt that Kim has played a pivotal role in this movement and as such, we would love to honour her dedication.
“We have reached out to Kim in the hope she will accept our offer.”
Well when you put it like that, it sort of makes more sense.
Kim is currently gearing up for the release of her first coffee table book entitled ‘Selfish,’ a collection of her favourite selfies, in May.
In an unexpected turn of events, the book promises ‘many never-before-seen personal images from one of the most recognizable and iconic celebrities in the world’.
Quite something, considering Kim’s aptitude to share just about everything about herself with her public.
