We love nothing more than an HONEST celeb mum.
Kimberley Walsh was papped in her first public appearance since giving birth last month, and doesn’t she look amazing?
The singer showed off her post-baby bod at the Specsavers Awards last night, and looked like she was seriously enjoying having a break from dirty nappies and baby sick as she left her son, Bobby Jay, at home for some proper grown up time.
And we can pretty much confirm that, as expected, Kimberley makes one gorgeous mummy.
The former Girls Aloud star has also written her first column on motherhood for OK magazine, where she has given a refreshingly honest insight into what being a new parent is *really* like.
After all, it seems like every time a celeb becomes a mum everything seems to come so easily to them – they’re natural parents, top of the mummy charts, and know exactly what they are doing.
So it is nice to have somebody step up and admit that being a new mum can be ruddy difficult.
Kimberley gave birth to her first child, baby Bobby, on the 4th September and reveals that she thought breastfeeding her baby “would be the easiest thing in the world“, but has since struggled with feeding.
She says: “It’s only when you speak to other people who tell you they also found it painful and hard that you realise it’s not just you.
“You imagine it will be the most natural thing in the world but more often than not it doesn’t come naturally to either you or the baby!
“It can be quite distressing when it’s not working but we’ve definitely cracked it now and it continuously gets easier.”
Phew, it’s no doubt a load of lots of mum’s minds to know that they’re not the only ones struggling.
Kudos to Kim for being so honest.
photoshoot with the mag last week, looking absolutely gorgeous as she posed up a storm with her partner of over ten years, Justin Scott, and their bundle of joy, and it sounds like she couldn’t be happier, sharing: “I sometimes just look at Bobby and I’m overcome with emotion as I just love him so much, I’m so happy with my family – my two boys – I cried as soon as I saw and held him.”The singer showed off Bobby in an official
She also opened up about her less-than-smooth birth, with Kim being rushed into hospital for an emergency C-section, she said: “He’d been in the right position for the last three months but he turned after my waters broke.
“The obstetrician tried to turn him but he kept flipping back so she made the call to assist with forceps. I’m grateful we got him out with forceps.
“Baby number two will probably be an easy one.”
Hang on a minute, the 33-year-old gave birth less than a month ago and she’s already planning her second one?
Well, he is a cutie.
And it sounds like it isn’t just us who think so, with Kimberley also sharing that her BFF and Girls Aloud bandmate, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, was among the first to visit the new family at the hospital and apparently burst into tears at the sight of him.
Kim shared, “Cheryl visited an hour after I had Bobby and cried when she saw him.”
Only an hour after the birth? Bezzie alert.
Will spending time with the adorable second member of mini Aloud ON TOP OF other BFF Simon Cowell’s baby Eric make newly-wed Cheryl broody for kids of her own?
Because judging by her emotional reaction to Bobby, it sounds like something she is seriously starting to be ready for.
And it looks like Kimberley will be the perfect person to give her all the new mum tips and advice that she will need when the time comes.
