Kit Harington doesn’t want to be called a hunk, OK?
The six-pack bearing game Of Thrones star has hit out at those who decide to praise him for his physical qualities rather than his acting ability.
Speaking to Page Six, the 28-year-old actor explained: “To always be put on a pedestal as a hunk is slightly demeaning.
“It really is and it’s in the same way as it is for women.”
Kit of course shot to fame for his role of Jon Snow in HBO hit series Game Of Thrones when it first came to our screens in 2011.
And it would seem that since his breakthrough role, he hasn’t been best impressed with the female attention he has garnered.
“Well, it’s not just men that can be inappropriate sexually; women can be as well,” he said.
“I’m in a successful TV show in a kind of leading man way and it can sometimes feel like your art is being put to one side for your sex appeal. And I don’t like that.
“In this position you get asked a lot, “Do you like being a heartthrob? Do you like being a hunk?” Well, my answer is, ‘That’s not what I got into it for.’”
It’s a hard life, eh?
