Kym Marsh Reveals Her Fiance, Dan Hooper, Asked Her Children’s Permission Before Proposing

Kym Marsh’s appearance on Loose Women earlier today had pretty much everybody coo-ing and aww-ing over her fiance, Dan Hooper, after it was revealed that he asked her eldest childrens’ permission before proposing.

N’AWW.

The Coronation Street star had already shared that traditional Dan had gone to her father before asking for Kym’s hand in marriage, but it now transpires that it was just as important to get sixteen-year-old Emilie and nineteen-year-old David’s seal of approval.

The 38-year-old told the ITV hosts: “Yeah, he went to them about it.

“We’re very much a family unit, Dan and David go out to have a drink together and everything.”

The Hear’Say singer also added that her three-year-old daughter Polly and Dan’s four-year-old, Lexi, are practically bezzie mates considering they’re so close in age.

All in all, it sounds like this ‘step-family’ business is plain sailing over in the Marsh/ Hooper household.

Dan and Kym had been dating for eight months before the 31-year-old personal trainer popped the question after whisking the star away on a romantic mini-break just before Christmas – and Kym has never been happier.

Speaking to OK! magazine recently, the actress said: “I’ve never been happier. I feel like a weight’s been lifted off my shoulders and it’s all because of Dan.

“At the start of the year I was going through my divorce and I was still recovering from the operation that meant I couldn’t have any more children.

“At that point, I couldn’t have imagined my life would’ve changed so much, or that I could be as happy as I am now.

“Everything changed when I met Dan.”

Aww, does anybody else have a tear in their eye?

If Kym’s happy then we’re happy – and it sounds to us like Dan is definitely a keeper.
