Having already denied the bonkers rumours that security was on ‘high alert’ in case she decided to crash Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan’s Wedding, Busted style, Lauren Goodger has now had to deny claims she was texting her ex the night before he tied the knot.
The former TOWIE girl, who actually wished Mark and Michelle well, would also quite like it if people stopped comparing her to her ex’s new wife, please and thanks.
Not sure how this wedding ended up sounding like a real-life episode of Coronation Street/some cheesy, OTT romcom with Loz being painted as someone who would come in screaming ‘I OBJECT’, but okay.
In a new interview with Now Magazine, the 28-year-old explained: “I am not in competition with anyone. Don’t compare me to anyone cos I’m my own person.”
She went on to deny those pesky rumours that she’d gifted her 28-year-old ex with a pre-wedding text on the eve of his big day, adding: “What a load of rubbish! I don’t even have his number and haven’t for years! And I’ve no desire to text him. Why would I?
“These stupid stories are so annoying and couldn’t be further from the truth. I wish them all the best and hope they had a lovely wedding and that’s that.”
Lauren also spoke about losing two stone, admitting that she’s actually happier than ever as a single pringle, ready to mingle.
She added: “The past is the past and you don’t go back. I always move forward. I’m single. I want to be on my own for five minutes.
“I’ve kind of been on and off with my ex [Jake McLean, 26], but at the moment I’m in my zone and no one’s getting past that. Training and concentrating on myself is my priority. I feel free and comfortable in myself.”
Yesterday, the poor girl was forced to deny claims that Markelle had put security on alert over fears she’d interrupt their big day, with a source telling The Sun: “There were real worries about Lauren as she has been very vocal and is an unpredictable character.
“Mark and his family raised this with security as they know she can be a loose cannon.”
However, her reps later denied it all, saying: “We’ve heard some ridiculous things over the years regarding Lauren but this is absolutely ridiculous.
“There is absolutely no truth in this whatsoever.”
Lauren herself also took to Twitter to brand the rumours as nonsense, replying to a tweet from Cara Kilbey by saying: “seen some crazy stories in my time but this one takes the lead
And they all lived happily ever after. Hopefully.
