She had a terrible time back in 2010 when she tragically lost her baby son six months into her pregnancy, and now Lily Allen has opened up about the trauma.
Speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show, the pop star got VERY teary as she discussed the sad loss, which is clearly still pretty raw.
The 29-year-old, who has two young daughters with husband Sam Cooper, got pretty darn emotional when the chat show host quizzed her about her darkest days.
She said: “I think it’s difficult for anybody regardless of what world they live in and actually what I took home from that experience was that even though it was the most unfortunate thing that can ever happen to a person, I was very fortunate in the sense that I have a loving partner to go home to and share that experience with.”
Lily insisted that she realised that she was in a lucky position, so wasn’t feeling sorry for herself any more.
She added: “There are many women… 17 stillbirths in the UK everyday… that go home and they don’t have that support, they have to go home and deal with that on their own so I am kind of in a bit of a – since that happened – in a count my blessings scenario rather than feeling sorry for myself.”
Lily went on to reveal that she wanted more children and had some rather *ahem* interesting ideas for names up her sleeve.
She told Jonathan: “Yes, I’d love a boy. And I’d also like another girl just so I can call her Auxiliary Jane, or Pizza, I quite like Pizza for a kid, or Mega Lolz that would be good. Megan Lolz.”
Yeah, we really hope she’s joking.
Lily also blasted those pesky industry double standards, clearly still fuming at insinuations that she’s a bad mum to her daughters.
Carrying on the rant on her Twitter account after the show, Lily wrote: “It’s sad that because I don’t post pictures of my children across social media and my trying to shelter them from men wielding.
“Cameras that to a 3 year old look like guns, that the British media insist on insinuating therfore that I am a bad mother. I am brilliant.”
She added: “And I will continue to protect them from all the cynicism and grotesque consumerist misogyny till the day I die.”
We think she’s a bloomin’ marvelous mum!
