X Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan couldn’t help but chuckle when she spied UKIP leader Nigel Farage enjoying a rather French lunch in a rather French cafe with his rather German wife earlier today.
And so she promptly shared the pictorial evidence with her legions of Twitter followers.
Nice one, Luce – we owe you.
Taking to her social media page, the recently-engaged singer shared a snapshot of herself at the cafe, writing: “In the same French restaurant as @Nigel_Farage right now…
“German wife, french lunch; clearly an EU supporter!”
Lucy clearly found the irony of the politician, who is famed for his strong, anti-Europe views, enjoying such a european-fuelled day absolutely hilair, but told The Mirror that she was resistant to “fuel his fire” by asking for a pic, so took a sneaky selfie instead.
A ruddy mastermind, we’ll have to ask her for some tips on how to take such a stealthy selfie if we ever bump into her…
Earlier this week, Lucy made our hearts turn to mush when she confirmed the exciting news that she’d proposed to her gorge girlfriend Georgina Gordon.
Taking to her MazSight page, Luce shared a loved-up snap with her new fiancée flashing the gorge engagement ring, before she went to Twitter to thank fans for all of their support and well-wishes.
The singer was notoriously forced to pull out of the X Factor in 2012, despite being a firm favourite to win, after she was struck down by illness.
Nonetheless, her album ‘Join The Gang’ charted at number seven the in 2013 and her hotly-anticipated follow up album ‘We Are’ is due for release this year.
All in all, it looks like the Spraggers is most definitely back with a bang, wouldn’t you say?
