It seems that the Made In Chelsea gang got up to some SERIOUS antics while shooting in New York, and unsurprisingly a certain Mr Jamie Laing was heavily involved.

Speaking to Yahoo Celebrity, the cheeky chappy admitted that he had one or two brushes with romance while in the Big Apple.

We didn’t expect anything less!

Jamie – who was still pining for on/off love Lucy Watson at the end of the last series – tells us that he was back on the dating scene in full force.

The Candy Kittens founder told us: “I got a few dates, I used to carry around a cricket bat wherever I went… to fend them off, yeah, there were stampedes. Running through Times Square. Haha!

“But no, there were definitely a few dates and there was some romance. The girls in New York love an English accent for some reason.”

Hmm – we wonder how Lucy feels about Jamie getting back out there!

But we don’t think that she needs to worry too much, as the blonde haired scamp didn’t actually bag himself a girlfriend across the pond (you’re still number one, Luce!)

Admitting that a trans-Atlantic relationship just wasn’t going to work for him (obviously), he explained:

“It’s a long way and I’m not good at relationships anyway let alone if they’re long distance.”

Very, very true, Jamie. Very.

But the 25-year-old has more on his mind than romance as his candy business is taking off in a BIG WAY.

He said: “We launched in Dylans Candy bar in New York, we’re in Selfridges, we’re going into Waitrose which is amazing, Topshop – Candy Kittens is just really spreading which is really exciting.

“The response in New York has been really good – I think they like the British vibe, because Candy Kittens is very British.”

He’ll need more than a cricket bat at this rate!
