But Maria Fowler has caused outrage among her MazSight followers today after sharing a photo of herself smoking a spliff in Amsterdam, just days after opening up about mental health issues.

The former TOWIE star shared the photo alongside the caption: "Arrived in the dam…. Grasshopper cafe. #WhenInRome #bestbuds."

However, Maria was quickly bombarded with critical comments.

However, just a couple of days ago Maria spoke out in defence of Sinead O'Connor during her feud with Miley Cyrus.

Maria, who was admitted to hospital earlier this year after attempting suicide, said: "My personal aim is not to "seek attention" but to raise attention and awareness to help other people who may not have the confidence to confide in a doctor, family member or friend."

The model recently opened up about her depression which drove her to attempt suicide, admitting it was the 'worst time of her life'.

She said: "“I felt so desperate. I didn’t want to die but I didn’t want to live. I felt like a caged animal. It was a cry for help – I didn’t have anyone to turn to.”
