Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have revealed that they’ve both now “got their fairytale” in their first interview since tying the knot on Sunday.
In case you managed to miss it, Markelle officially became husband and wife in Suffolk at the weekend, and while we still haven’t seen how stunning they both looked, it sounds like guests were treated to one HECK of a grand affair.
Meanwhile, we spent the weekend watching Friends on repeat and stuffing our face with Doritos.
He explained: “I am really excited for that security, to know you have this person forever in your life. I know I have met The One.”
Michelle then added: “We have both got our fairytale.”
Mark continued: “Even when I was a child, I dreamt of finding serious love one day. With Michelle I have that in every way. I’ve got to keep looking up at the stars and thanking God for it.”
N’awwww! How ruddy lovely is that?! VERY, obviously.
In the interview, the actress also revealed that they pretty much fell in love with their reception venue, Hengrave Hall, straight away, admitting: “We loved everything about it. It is beautiful and very historic, but when family and friends are there it will feel like our place.”
Yep, we’re definitely suitably jealous now.
Although full details, including Mich’s dress, have been kept fully under wraps until their magazine cover is published, some little bits and bobs have snuck through the net – like the fact that they reportedly performed the iconic Dirty Dancing routine at their reception.
According to The Mirror, Mark took on the role of Patrick Swayze for the classic 1987 dance, lifting Michelle into the air in THAT infamous move, all to the soundtrack of their guests’ cheers.
The actress reportedly changed into a shorter version of her wedding dress with ruffles on the skirt for the number, teaming the outfit with white pom pom Sophia Webster shoes to take on Jennifer Grey’s role.
If that wasn’t enough to make you weep into your wedding hat, it’s also claimed that Mark burst into tears during their first dance to Whitney Houston’s ‘I Have Nothing’, before he got up and sung with the band.
The newlywed had already had a little cry when Michelle entered St Mary’s Church in Suffolk, after she’d kept him waiting at the altar for 30 minutes.
An insider told The Sun: “He was very wobbly standing at the altar. There was nervousness in the air, but when she arrived a tear streamed down his cheek and his face was beaming.
“She didn’t cry though, as northern lasses don’t get as soppy as Essex boys. They both looked really happy.”
Adorable. Congratulations again to the happy couple, and we’re glad they got their happily ever after!
