Talk about spilling the beans.
Charlie Simpson has revealed that his former Busted bandmates are planning on recording a whole album as part of supergroup McBusted.
However, before you get all excited – Charlie will still not be joining anytime soon – even though he has made his peace and is now all ‘happy for them’ etc etc.
Speaking to BANG! Charlie said: “I know they’re writing new songs at the moment with a view to putting a record out.”
it was previously believed that the band would only be doing a tour and not actually recording any new material.
However, as Charlie points out – they have some amazing songwriters amongst them so it was surely be a shame to part ways without making a few new tunes!
“They’ve got some great writers in that band, Danny Jones is a great songwriter and so is Tom Fletcher from McFly as well. I think they can definitely do some stuff and it will be interesting to see how they progress. I think they can definitely do more together,” Charlie said, adding:
“From what I understand I don’t think it’s a full-time thing for them … I’m not sure what their long-term plan is but I do know their short-term aim is release an album.”
Which is definitely more than most McBusted fans were expecting. Thanks for the goss Charlie!
