Meghan Markle and Queen Elizabeth II are reportedly in a custody battle over baby Sussex.
Prince Harry and Markle have not confirmed the arrival of their firstborn yet. However, a new report claimed that the royals are already embroiled in a custody battle over the baby.
“Harry told his grandmother he was petrified Meghan would try and take the baby back to America, but Her Majesty has had her lawyers busy drawing up an iron-clad agreement to prepare for all eventualities,” a source told Women’s Day.
“The Queen will not allow this baby to be the first royal to be taken away from the palace and raised as a commoner, without the guidance of the royal family.”
The insider claimed that the former “Suits” star is “sick of being bossed around” and she’s tired of adhering to the palace code and conduct. While others may find Markle’s decision to leave the palace as a shock, the royal family has already foreseen this and it’s actually their biggest fear throughout her entire pregnancy.
The source added that Camilla Parker Bowles is helping Markle get custody over her child. The Duchess of Cornwall is reportedly feeding her intel from the royal side to ensure that Markle has the upper hand.
Prince Harry’s wife is also arming herself with the best legal team. Markle has reportedly flown in a top New York custody lawyer who worked with a string of big Hollywood names.
“She’s gone into full protective mother mode and is prepared to do whatever it takes to win this – even threatening to release a damning dossier of explosive palace secrets if the royal family tries to take her newborn away from her,” the source added.
Another report claimed earlier that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking for a new home in california. Markle wanted a bolthole for her family and also hoped to be closer to her mother, Doria Ragland.
The insider said that Markle will have more freedom and independence in Los Angeles. While Markle is a duchess in the UK, she could be a queen in LA.
