Russell Crowe has given us the best news we’ve heard all month (March madness has basically destroyed us) by revealing that the late, great Michael Jackson used to prank him.
Even though the two never actually met face-to-face. Ever.
Speaking in an interview with The Guardian, the 50-year-old revealed all about Michael’s nuisance calls.
He explained that they went on “for two or three f**king years.
“I never met him, never shook his hand, but he found out the name I stayed in hotels under, so it didn’t matter where I was, he’d ring up do this kind of thing, like you did when you were 10, you know.”
Russell recalled one example of what the singer would say: “‘Is Mr Wall there? Is Mrs Wall there? Are there any Walls there? Then what’s holding the roof up? Ha ha.’
“You’re supposed to grow out of doing that, right?”
There is SO much to love about this (not that we’re condoning trolling of any kind).
Not only was Michael pretty bad (really really bad etc etc) at pranking, which makes it more hilarious, but there was seemingly no real background behind it.
And to be honest, where’s the fun in growing up, Russell?
Russell actually spoke briefly about the prank calls back in 2013.
In an interview with The Sun, he revealed: “He’d ring me and in a strong voice and say, ‘There is an emergency and you need to leave the building’.
“I’d ask, ‘Who is this?’ And he’d say, ‘Do not worry Russell, just kidding, this is Michael’.”
