*starts frantically searching the internet for Glastonbury passes*
Miley Cyrus is rumoured to be performing with her godmother, Dolly Parton, at Glastonbury this weekend.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make it happen Dolly. Billy-Ray would be SO pleased.
The so-called ‘Queen of Country’ has been praising her turnt-up goddaughter left, right and centre in the past couple of weeks, and with Miley having now finished the european leg of her ‘Bangerz’ tour, it would seem that it’s the right time for a cheeky guest spot at Glasto.
Can we just imagine, for a second, how PERFECT the pair of them singing ‘Jolene’ would be?
The sledge-hammer enthusiast has also managed to get an invite to the uber-trendy ‘Beats Hotel’ party at the festival this weekend, which Kate Moss and Kasabian are supposed to be attending (what we wouldn’t give to be a fly-on-the-wall at that event).
Speaking to the always reliable Sun, a source said, “Appearing onstage with Dolly in front of hardened music lovers who are critical of everyone from Jay Z to Coldplay and winning them over will give Miley a whole other platform for her career.”
We’d love to agree with this elusive source – but somehow we doubt that we’d see our Miles transforming into our generation’s answer to Billy Bragg or Keith Allen.
Still, we can live in hope, eh?
