Myleene Klass might have won the affections and respect of many viewers after she went all Jeremy Paxman up in Ed Miliband‘s grill in a debate over mansion tax, but it turns out some weren’t so keen.
In fact, some of them were so un-keen, they’ve started a petition to get her dropped from Littlewoods.
This is actually real. There’s no hearsay here. SORRY.
Earlier this week, the 36-year-old Loose Women panelist locked horns with the Labour leader over his pledge to impose a new policy on mansion tax during live ITV debate, ‘The Agenda’.
Whilst many viewers were impressed by Myleene’s skill to go toe to toe with Ed, after she accused the party leader of ‘pointing at things and taxing them,’ others accused her of being ‘deeply insensitive’, being that she has an estimated net worth of £11m.
Having been accused of having unrealistic opinions, viewers are now calling on Littlewoods, the company she fronts, to drop the former Hear’Say star from their campaigns as a sign of ‘respect.’
The petition on Change.org argues that the company’s pay-weekly customers are the worst hit by economic hardships – something that Myleene’s argument that mansion tax is a load of rubbish goes against.
It reads: “Myleene Klass has demonstrated unacceptable conduct and spoken unacceptably publicly in such appalling economic times. We the British public call upon you to make you position regarding the words of Myleene Klass clear and end your business relationship with her as the face of your brand.”
