National Television Awards 2015: Sheridan Smith Misses Award Because Of Traffic, Amanda Holden Catches The Tube

Sheridan Smith learnt just how bad London’s rush hour can be last night, as she missed the exciting moment she was announced as winner in the Best Drama performance category at the national Television Awards 2015.

Why? Because she was stuck in traffic for THREE. WHOLE. HOURS. How she didn’t need a wee or something we don’t know.

Next time? Just catch the tube like Amanda Holden.

Sheridan, 33, won Best Drama Performance for her fantastic performance in Cilla at last night’s awards, but thanks to the HORRENDOUS traffic trying to get to the O2 arena, spent the time she should’ve been on stage thanking everyone crying in the back of a taxi.

Poor girl!

Probably could’ve run to the arena quicker to be honest. A little perspiration never hurt anyone, right?!

Luckily, whoever’s in charge of who goes on stage, why and when is pretty nice, and Sheridan WAS later allowed to venture onto the stage once she’d managed to make it to the O2.
