It’s been almost a week since Zayn Malik left One Direction (time flies when, er, you really want something to be a nasty dream or April Fools joke), and judging by Louis Tomlinson and Naughty Boy’s Twitter feud, the drama is still going strong.
Fans haven’t been happy with Monsieur Naughty after Zayn was reportedly spotted at a London recording studio with him not long after Mr Single Strand of Hair explained that he just wanted to be a ‘normal 22-year-old’ for a bit.
And it seems the two really have been busy bees, as Naughty Boy has already shared a clip from of Zayn’s first solo effort.
We were totally, utterly, 100% not prepared for this, and we definitely need more than ONE WEEK to recover from Zayn’s big news before already getting his solo stuff chucked down our earholes.
We’re just not ready for it all to be final, y’know?
Zaughty have been working together in the studio for a while now, but we certainly weren’t expecting the Bradford Bad Boi to be ready with a track so quickly.
Sharing the clip on Twitter, Naughty Boy wrote: “let the music do the talking. there is nothing but love for what was left behind. thats why we don’t mind. #2016 #zaughty #zindabad.”
Of course Zayn sounds like a ruddy angel sent from the heavens above in the acoustic clip, BUT IT’S JUST NOT THE SAME. And it’s FAR TOO SOON. Our emotions/hearts/ears just weren’t ready for this.
The move is also kinda controversial considering Zayn said that he wants a ‘normal’ life and to ‘chill’ for a bit – but if heading to the studio keeps him chilled and happy, then we’re happy for him.
However, before we even received this new musical offering that totally frazzled our brains, Naughty Boy had shared a bizarre video that riled up fans and made a certain sassy sassmaster pretty ruddy mad.
And you just don’t mess with Louis, actually.
Naughty Boy retweeted the above video, which features an electronic voice singing “Naughty Boy saved my life Zaughty will rise” to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and we’re creeped out by it, confused about what it’s supposed to mean and generally not happy that it’s basically stirring up Directioners.
NOT cool. Especially when we’re all just trying to stick together to support all five boys.
Louis Tomlinson was equally unimpressed by it, tweeting Naughty Boy to say: “Wow
@NaughtyBoyMusic you’re so inconsiderate pal , seriously how f***ing old are you ? Grow up ! #masterofallwisdom.”
He later added: “I was talking about the video you tweeted . Clearly trying to wind the fans up ! Well you succeeded anyway . Fair play.”
Fans also took to Twitter to air their views about Zayn’s first solo music, with one writing: “ZAYN WAS MAKING ALOT OF MONEY HAD THE world BUT THEN HE LEFT AND NOW HES ON SOUND CLOUD WITH A GREASE BALL AND THATS WHAT YOU MISSED ON GLEE.”
Another wrote: “He might of thought saying “I wanna go solo I’m not happy in 1d anymore” would hurt too much but honestly it would’ve hurt less than this.”
Some Directioners are just upset that Zayn may have ‘lied’ about his reasons for wanting to leave 1D. Here’s just a handful of tweets:
AGH. We’re in so much turmoil over this.
We’re obviously NEVER going to condone trolling, regardless of how upset you guys are about Naughty Boy’s decision to share the weird (and perhaps insensitive) clip and clearly stir up tensions (yes, we’re still devastated about the whole thing too).
And of course, we just want to cuddle Louis and bathe him in love and stuff for slaying everything and defending the Directioner fandom. <3
We’re just *not* sure what to make about Zayn’s solo stuff being out there already. We will ALWAYS support him in whatever he does, but we just were not emotionally ready for this to appear so soon.
