In the most predictable news since our parents asked us what we wanted for Christmas (One Direction wrapped up with bows on top, please), odds on the 1D lads splitting in 2015 have been slashed following Zayn Malik‘s departure from the On The Road Again tour.
Yep, since the news broke that Zayn had been signed off the tour due to stress, bookies have halved odds on the boys calling it a day in 2015.
Let’s be honest though – if they can make it through X Factor’s bootcamp (and Zayn can make it through *THAT* bootcamp dance), they can make it through anything.
Besides, their bromance is WAY too strong.
Many bookmakers have decided to slash the odds of One Direction going five different directions this year, with Ladbrokes halving their odds from 8/1 to just 4/1.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “It looks like it’s the beginning of the end for One Direction. Zayn’s not the only one stressed out at the moment, but the odds suggest this could well be their farewell tour.”
Coral have also halved their odds on 1D splitting in 2015 from 6-1 to 3-1.
A Coral spokeswoman said: “The latest scandal surrounding Zayn has sent the betting into meltdown and the odds on the group going in different directions have been cut in half.”
Look, we know we’re guilty of harping on about it too (hey, we’re concerned about the little cherub), but Zayn being ON A BREAK does NOT automatically mean 1D are destined to crumble into biscuit crumbs.
Leave them alone, yeah?!
In case you somehow missed it, Zayn has landed back in London after being signed off 1D’s OTRA tour due to stress, although his mum, according to The Mirror, has reassured fans that “he’s fine.”
However, she “cant say where he is going to go.”
Simon Jones, PR for the band, releasing a statement yesterday, saying: “Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate.
“The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta.”
Zayn was forced to deny that he had cheated on his fiancee Perrie Edwards after a photo emerged of him holding hands with a girl now identified as Lauren Rich on a night out in Phuket.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote: “I’m 22 years old… I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there’s a lot of jealous f**ks in this world I’m sorry for what it looks like x”
Have a good rest, Zayn. WE LOVE YOU.
