One Direction WILL Have To Pay ‘Weed Bond’ Before Performing In The Philippines

Just one week after THAT campaign that wanted Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson to be drugs tested before entering the Philippines, it’s being reported that One Direction will have pay The Bureau of Immigration a cash bond before they’ll be allowed to enter the country.

Yikes.

Reports are claiming that Zayn and Louis have been asked to post bonds of around £3,000/200,000 pesos EACH to get a special work permit, after THAT video which showed the pair allegedly smoking cannabis last year.

They will apparently lose this money if they are caught using or promoting illegal drugs when they’re in Manila.

According to local immigation, the bond was “intended to protect the public interest should the band members commit any violation during their stay in the Philippines.

“The band will be prevented from performing during the scheduled concert dates on March 21 and 22, 2015 should the producer fail to post the cash bond prior to those dates.”

BBC reports that Christine Ching, a spokeswoman of Anti-Drugs Advocate, has said that a concert producer posted the requested bonds at the Immigration Bureau today (Thursday).

As well as the bonds, the Anti-Drugs group also wants Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency to send officers to keep an eye on the boys.

Christine added: “We want to see their pure, raw, untainted talent.”

They’ve got plenty of that, Christine.

Local organisation Laban ng Pamilyang Pilipino are reportedly the ones behind this bond requested, having asked for the drugs test last week.

On social media last week, an image was published of Zayn allegedly smoking drugs in Peru last summer, accompanied by writing which read: “No drug test, no entry.”

The group said the campaign was “for the welfare of their fans, mostly youth.”

Gulp.

Fingers crossed the boys CAN make it to The Philippines to show off their vocal skills and just look quite fit.

The boys are due to show off their talents at the seaside Mall of Asia Concert Grounds on 21 and 22 March.
