We’ve been waiting for the Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik Wedding extravaganza since the dawn of time/they announced it a couple of years ago, and we were kinda hoping we wouldn’t have to wait much longer to utilise our fanciest of fancy hats for the occasion.
Sadly, the gorgeous singer has revealed that she’s so busy being in Little Mix that she’s hardly had time to do any planning, and that it’s unlikely that the couple will tie the knot this summer.
Yep, despite approximately 568 rumours that wanting to marry Perrie ASAP was a big factor in Zayn’s decision to quit One Direction, his fiancée has revealed that actually, we won’t be hearing wedding bells anytime soon.
She told The Sun: “I don’t know when the wedding will be. We’re still planning it but I’m so busy with Little Mix now Black Magic is coming out.
“Me and Zayn want it to be perfect, so as soon as I have a bit of time we’ll plan it. I doubt it will be this summer — but I’ll let you know!”
If you need a wedding planner, guys, just holler at us. We make a mean wedding buffet.
The 21-year-old also spoke about what Zayno’s been up to since waving goodbye to 1D life, revealing that he’s been spending an extra sprinkle of time marinating his peppers in the kitchen.
She explained: “It’s nice to see more of him now. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen, he’s a great chef.”
That’s the wedding catering sorted then.
Jesy Nelson also admitted that she’s pretty jealous of Perrie’s personal chef, adding: “They never stop cooking, that’s all I ever hear. Every time she comes in she’s like, ‘Zayn made me this’ and ‘Zayn made me that’. I’m like, ‘Can he cook me a meal?’”
As well as discussing Zayn’s roasting technique, the girls also had a chat about what we can expect from their third album, with Jesy saying: “We’ve been away a while because we wrote an album, sat with the record label and we thought, ‘Nope, it’s not good enough’.
“We recorded a whole album but we’re perfectionists and knew we could do better. So we scrapped it and started again. It was very stressful, it just wasn’t happening.”
Leigh-Anne Pinnock continued: “The main problem is we just couldn’t find a single. Then we heard Black Magic and our prayers had been answered. There’s an Eighties vibe to it and a classic pop sound.”
Jade Thirlwall also said: “Salute was very R&B and dark, this album is more fun. And there’s a lot of banter on it.”
The album is also packed full of amazing songwriting credits (alongside the girls’ own writing talents, of course), with Ed Drewett, Jess Glynne and Jessie J also writing for them.
In fact, Perrie reckons the “very honest and personal stripped-back song” from Jessie J is one fans will particularly like, adding that Jess Glynne gave them a load of “cheeky banter” for their LP.
AGH. We need this in our lives now please, because it sounds AMAZING.
