The petite popstar threw some serious moves on stage at V Festival this month.
And now our exclusive blogger Pixie Lott will be trying her hand at a very different form of dancing after being confirmed as the latest celebrity to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing 2014.
Pixie, who is the tenth celeb to be unveiled as trying their hand at ballroom dancing in front of the nation, was confirmed by the Strictly official Twitter feed in the form of a sparkly Vine.
The 23-year-old Brit, who has had three number ones, joins Frankie Bridge from The Saturdays, TOWIE star Mark Wright, Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills and Blue’s Simon Webbe in this year’s all-star line-up.
Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills is the latest celebrity to be confirmed for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Scott announced the news live on his breakfast show this morning with Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood in the studio, surprising his fellow presenter Chris Stark with the announcement.
Scott has been on Radio 1 for FIFTEEN YEARS and is one of the longest-serving DJs on the network, speaking of his involvement in the nation’s glitziest reality TV show the 40-year-old said: “My listeners are so used to me playing pranks that they’re probably going to think this is just another one.
“It’s not, I really am doing this! I’m honoured be part of the biggest show on television and hoping this could be the start of a brand new skill for me.
“When I was younger, my Nan danced the foxtrot and waltz and it would be great for me to learn those dances, but I will be out of my comfort zone.
“Whatever happens, I’m really looking forward to the weekly fake tans!”
We’re REALLY looking forward to your weekly fake tans too.
Scott followed up with the standard ‘I’m so excited’ tweet and was soon inundated with excited fans wishing him luck.
Fellow contestant Frankie Bridge was also quick to send her support and even came up with a rather catchy nickname for him:
We’ll be the judge of those snake hips, thank you very much.
Scott is the tenth celebrity to be confirmed for the 2014 line up, joining The Saturdays’ Frankie, Andy Murray’s mum, Judy Murray, table-breaking-Big-Brother-contestant turned TV presenter Alison Hammond, rugby player Thom Evans, Blue’s Simon Webbe, TOWIE’s Mark Wright, Casualty’s Sunetra Sarker, EastEnder’s Jake Wood, and TV naturalist Steve Backshall.
Phew, that’s a mouthful.
And there are still FIVE more celebs yet to be announced.
This series is already shaping up to be a goodun, but will anybody even come close to living up to former Strictly champion Harry Judd’s title as sexiest contestant of all time?
We doubt it, but we look forward to judging the likes of Thom, Simon and Mark on their efforts.
