Abbey Clancy, who’s currently pregnant with her second baby, has admitted that motherhood is easier for her than it was for her mum Karen, partly because she doesn’t have any money worries.
The model and her stunning mum sat down for a chat about all things parenting, and actually ended up looking more like sisters, rocking the same poses as they sat looking pretty on the floor.
Discussing what it means to be a mum nowadays compared to how her mum had it, Abbey told Red magazine: “I don’t have to worry about the obvious things like money.
“We don’t have any help or anything! It’s just up to me and Pete [Crouch] to do everything. So when you’re tired and you’re up through the night, you’re thinking, ‘How am I going to do this?’ It’s so hard.
“I don’t think anyone understands when you have a baby how hard it is. I don’t work every day, and Pete’s home at 3pm [from training].”
But it’s SO worth it though, yeah?
She added: “My mum had four kids on her own, so if I had one kid with one nanny and not a full-time job, it would be a joke.
“And I think the impossible happens when you leave your kids. I’ve seen so many nannies in the park on their phones, and the kids are running off…”
It’s admirable that you’re able to do it on your own, and for the record, you’re doing a sterling job, Abbey!
Her mum Karen, who worked as a hairdresser as a single parent and often took her four children to work to help, also spoke about Abbey and motherhood, saying: “My children are all grown now, so I’m starting to relax.
“Now I’m watching Abbey do what I’ve done. I brought my four up on my own, so when I hear Pete say he’s exhausted, I’m like, ‘You’ve only got one. I’ve had four on my own! And went to work!’”
Abbey and Peter will welcome their second child in around four months time, but have already admitted that they’re not bothered about whether three-year-old daughter Sophia gets a little brother or sister.
Speaking to The Times, she revealed: “We wanted a girl, and we got one. Now, I don’t mind, as long as it’s happy and Healthy, and not a crier.”
We’re sure Abbey’s mum LOVES knowing she looks like she could be her daughter’s sister in these photos – we would if we were her!
Here’s hoping Abbey’s second pregnancy goes just as smoothly as the first.
