“Rick and Morty” could hit the big screen soon.

Everyone is waiting for “Rick and Morty” Season 4, but before its premiere, series creator Justin Roiland revealed that he wants to make a movie inspired by the popular Adult Swim series. While promoting for the release of his company’s first video game “Trover Saves The Universe,” one fan asked Roiland about the possibility of making a movie featuring the repulsive yet oddly endearing characters from the American TV show and he gave a positive response.

“Will we get a feature length ‘Rick and Morty’ film ever? A rated R film that’s totally bananas?” the fan asked during the Q & A on Reddit AMA, Joblo first reported.

“I would love to do that, yeah. Hmm. Hmmmmmm,” Roiland responded.

“Rick and Morty” fans went wild after learning Roiland’s response. One excitedly claimed that the series should have six seasons and a movie, then four more seasons.

At present, there are no concrete plans for a “Rick and Morty” film, but fans are already very excited for it knowing that Roiland is as interested as them in seeing the sci-fi animated series in the big screen.

Last year, Roiland and Dan Harmon told Polygon that they were “super excited” that for the first time they have been locked in by the network that aired their cartoon series.

“We know what the future is, we have job security,” they said.

Roiland added that Harmon was in great spirits and revealed that they have a great writer’s room. Fans would also be pleased since the “Rick and Morty” creators are dedicated to delivering good episodes and this time they want it to be “a little quicker.”

“We’re not going to do these long breaks, these chasms in between seasons anymore. We’re going to schedule vacation time and just keep the machine going. It’s going to be really cool,” Roiland said.

The network didn’t immediately renew “Rick and Morty” for another season after its Season 3 finale. It came to a point when fans asked Harmon and Roiland if they were planning to switch networks since it had been months and there were no news about the renewal. But they remained positive with Harmon saying that they were due for a “return threshold.”

“Rick and Morty” Season 4 will grace the small screen in November. The popular show will be launching 70 new episodes for its upcoming season.
