She was all set to take the film industry by *ahem* storm.
But it seems that Rita Ora is finding this whole acting lark rather more tricky than she first expected… admitting that she struggled in a BIG WAY while filming Fifty Shades of Grey.
The 23-year-old, who bagged herself a role in the Sam Taylor-Wood film, found it pretty impossible to learn her lines, so had to resort to drastic measures.
Admitting that her nerves well and truly got the better of her, Rita had to have an earpiece fitted with someone on hand to read her lines down it.
All a bit awks.
She told Access Hollywood: “I had to have someone in my ear on set telling me what to say before I said it because I was honestly like so nervous I forgot everything that I had learnt.”
Bet that never happened to De Niro, Rita. Just saying.
The pop star, who plays the role of Mia Grey in the eagerly-anticipated adaptation of the erotic books, claimed that it was Dakota Johnson who helped her through.
She said: “She’s a great friend of mine and she really eased me, and she was really nice to take care of me.”
The RIP singer apparently bagged the sought-after role at the beginning of the year after approaching film bosses about being on the soundtrack.
Speaking to MTV News about mastering the American accent and a few French phrases, she said: “I prepped for the role by learning some French first of all, by learning an American accent and by really just not being me.
“I had a brown wig on and I was being the smart girl that came from French school to see her family, so it was just a lot of dedication, it was like going back to school.”
Have to say… we can’t wait to see her in action!
