There’s being a social media geek and then there’s live blogging your wife’s waters breaking as it happens.
And that’s exactly the lengths Robbie Williams has gone to this afternoon to broadcast the birth of his second baby to his fans.
The former Take That star, who is set to become a dad for the second time any minute now, spent Monday live vlogging wife Ayda Field’s labour from inside the hospital room.
Robbie kicked off proceedings by posting a picture of the actress’s glamorous red sparkly stiletto heels as the pair made their way into hospital. Never let it be said that a touch of labour would get in the way of your image, eh?
And as if that wasn’t intimate enough, the ‘Let Me Entertain You’ singer proceeded to upload a string of Youtube videos of everything from her struggling in pain with contractions, to him dancing around her bed to his hit ‘Candy’, to the ACTUAL MOMENT THE DOCTORS BROKE HER WATERS.
Ayda, who seemed pretty fine with having her labour pain broadcast to the cyber world, even had a go at dancing herself – twerking with her bump to Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy’.
The couple already have a two-year-old Teddy, who as yet hasn’t made an appearance on birth cam.
The last time we got this close to the delivery of a Hollywood baby was when Jonas Brothers star Kevin chose to live tweet the birth of his child – and even let fabric detergent Dreft sponsor the event.
So is the whole thing beautiful or way TMI?
