HUGE congratulations are in order for Ronan Keating, who’s confirmed that he’s engaged to the gorgeous Storm Uechtritz after proposing not once, but TWICE.
Anyone else feeling kinda sad that he’s officially off the market now? SOB.
Ronan and TV executive Storm have been together for three years, and the singer explained that it just ‘felt like the right time’.
Congrats, guys! We’re so happy we could cry. Oh, would you look at that – we actually are.
Revealing their exciting news to Hello! Magazine, Ronan explained that he proposed first in Thailand, before repeating the whole thing in front of his three kids in Ireland.
We salute him for putting himself through that stress twice.
The 38-year-old said: “I proposed twice and she said yes both times, thank God.”
The singer even helped design his 34-year-old fiancée’s engagement ring, which is an oval diamond set in a diamond-encrusted titanium band.
He added: “We’ve been together a few years now and knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. I felt it was the right time.”
Ronan described how he got down on one knee in Thailand while the two of them were watching “the most beautiful sunrise” they’d ever seen over the ocean – and everyone else on the island was sleeping.
He then felt it was important to get his three children – Jack, 16, Missy, 14, and Ali, nine – involved when they returned to Ireland.
In fact, his three children from his previous marriage to Yvonne Connolly were the first people they told when they got back, with Ronan proposing on Ireland’s West coast.
He said: “We pulled out the ring again and she said yes. It was the most magical thing in the world.”
Ronan also revealed: “Storm isn’t just marrying me. There are four of us involved. Storm has an amazing relationship with the kids, which is very important.
N’awwww. We’re so happy for all of them!
Ronan split from Yvonne in 2011, with their 17-year marriage officially ending last month.
He’s since found love with Storm, who he credits with helping him through the tragic death of his Boyzone bandmate Stephen Gately.
He told Hello! Magazine: “Storm understood me and was there and it was everything to me.
“We became real good friends, and the chemistry got greater and greater and over time one thing led to another. I’ve never known anything like it – she’s my best friend.”
We better get hat shopping, pronto.
massive congratulations once again, guys! You make a truly gorgeous couple.
