While some A-listers like to show off their growing bumps as much as possible during pregnancy *cough* Kim Kardashian *cough*, Keira Knightley is all about covering up.
The A-lister, who wore another loose-fitting gown to the SAG Awards on Sunday night, admitted that her recent sartorial choices are a tactical way to mask her ‘disappearing waist.’
Yeah, she still looks pretty slimline to us too.
While we weren’t *massively* keen on the purple lace Erdem dress that she opted for at the LA ceremony, it clearly had Keira’s desired effect… completely drowning her figure.
Speaking on the red carpet, she said: “People do wear tight things when they’re pregnant. I don’t really go for that.
“Does it [being pregnant] make it harder? It just means that you’re not going to wear anything tight. Actually.”
She added: “If I had that waist [looking at Maria Menounos] I’d wear that. The waist has disappeared, so I can’t do that.”
Pretty sure Keira’s going to look fab in pretty much everything.
The 29-year-old, who confirmed that she was expecting her first child with husband James Righton earlier this month, was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Imitation game, losing out to Patricia Arquette.
Despite going home empty-handed, Keira seemed more concerned about the temperature in the ceremony, threatening to take off her shoes if it got too much (which we’re totally on board with).
She was overheard saying: “It’s boiling in here. This is going to be interesting isn’t it. Shoes may come off later. I can go, “well I’m pregnant” nobody can say anything.”
We like her way of thinking… a girl after our own heart!
