Pass the party poppers, (cheap) champagne and a sausage roll or 12 because Sam Smith has excitingly announced that he is FI-NA-LLY off vocal rest and can speak again.
Ceeeeee-lebrate good times, COME ON.
Yep, three weeks after undergoing scary surgery on his vocal cords, the 23-year-old singer revealed that he can officially speak again, using the joy of Disney to share his good news on MazSight.
Because who doesn’t love Disney, eh?
Sharing a photo of Ariel getting her voice back on The Little Mermaid, he wrote: “I CAN SPEAK AGAIN!!!!!!!!“
We’re SO happy to hear your good news, Sam, and fingers crossed the road to a full recovery is smooth! <3
He also posted a photo of the doctor who was responsible for getting his vocal cords back to good health after he had a “small vocal chord haemorrhage,” writing: “Completely overwhelmed. Thank you so much Doctor Zeitels for everything.
“You have truly saved me this past few months. Such an amazing man. You truly truly truly don’t know what you got until you lose it.
“I have fallen in love with music all over again over this past month, and more than ever I feel so blessed to be able to sing and do what I love every day xx.”
N’awww. We cannot wait to hear your sing again when you’re ready, Sam!
Oh, and if all THAT was exciting enough for Sam, he’s announced newly rescheduled tour dates for Australia, after he was originally forced to cancel part of his tour due to his vocal cord haemorrhage.
He captioned the photo: “AUSTRALIA. From all the bad news has come some good news!! Not only am I coming back to make up for the cancelled shows but I get to play bloody arenas!!!! So excited to sing for all of you and apologise personally for my bleeding throat xxxx”
HURRAH. Huge congrats on the brilliant news, Sam, and if you don’t mind, we’re going to order an extra portion of pudding for lunch to celebrate.
