The Scottish Sun has broken the only real rule to taking a selfie: not actually taking the selfie yourself (it’s where the name comes from folks, come on).

The outlet have been hosting a signing and selfie booth all weekend at T in the Park Festival where artists such as Nina Nesbitt, Katy B and Neon Jungle have all been meeting fans and posing for selfies. Except, of course, a lot of them weren’t actually selfies.

Twitter was quick to fly into a tiny tantrum (as Twitter tends to do) over the #failed shots with Popjustice leading the charge:




The SHAME. The pressure finally got to the Scottish Sun and they themselves were forced to admit they’d made a mistake:

This year marks the last year for T in the Park at its current Balado home due to concerns about an oil pipeline running under the festival grounds (ROCK AND ROLL!). The fest saw a scorcher of a first day with blazing sunshine throughout as artists such as Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran and headliner Biffy Clyro played to massive crowds. Sadly the weather hasn’t lasted as rain showers kicked off during the late afternoon on Saturday, with Calvin Harris headlining in the evening.
