It’s so sad.
The X Factor judges have been left in a state of shock following the apparent suicide of Simone Battle over the weekend, aged just 25.
Simone first hit the limelight after making it through to the live shows of the first series of The X Factor USA in 2011.
In 2013 she joined five-piece girl group G.R.L. and the band released their first single ‘Ugly Heart’ in the UK last Sunday – and it is taking the charts by storm.
X Factor judge Simon Cowell lead the tributes to Simone as the news of her death emerged, tweeting: “I am so sad to hear about the news Simone Battle has passed away.
“She was such a fun nice person. It’s such a loss. Rest in peace Simone.”

“Glad to have been able to share this moment with you..”
The sad news of Simone’s death was confirmed yesterday in a joint statement from her record labels and management, it read: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L.
“Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.”
Many other stars have taken to Twitter to share their heartache over the loss of the popstar.
I don’t know what to say.
