Simon Cowell: One Direction Will Split After Two More Albums, Harry Styles Will Go Solo

Well, this is depressing.

Brace yourselves, Directioners, Simon Cowell has some pretty heartbreaking news – he reckons that One Direction might split after just two more albums.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the boyband’s Uncle Si, said: “Bands don’t stay together forever.

“I think that they will make at least two more albums, and they’re in the middle of one right now.”

Asked whether he thinks that they will split because Harry Styles will pursue a solo career (yes, that stupid rumour making yet another appearance), the 54-year-old music mogul predicted: “No, I don’t think that will happen for a while.

“Eventually I am sure they all will.”

The 1D boys found fame when they all auditioned as solo artists in the 2010 series of The X Factor.

Simon plucked the five boys out of the pack, threw them in a band together, and sent millions of teenage girls into a frenzy.

The band finished in third place, which was only three places above Wagner, but have gone on to have by far the strongest career in X Factor history, which includes actual cinematic 3D films and no less than three perfumes, phew!

They are pretty much always plagued with with rumours of a split, with Harry Styles’ pursuing a solo career being one of the favourite reasons behind it.

Most recently, a mysterious source told Heat magazine that Harry was getting all kinds of fed up with his bandmates, saying: “Harry’s quite a loner and an old soul and finds the other boys quite immature. He prefers to spend time with his security team or Lou.

“It doesn’t feel like he has too much in common with his band mates. So Harry is looking at his options right now.

“He has a new life in LA with lots of offers on the table as a solo artist.”

Thankfully, Hazza has always strongly denied these rumours, recently telling TOTP magazine: ‘I’m 100 per cent in this band.

“I still want to be touring with One Direction in ten years. I’ll be doing it until I’m old and people are telling me to stop.”

Forget 10 years – Uncle Si is saying that the end is probably nearer than we think, and he obviously knows more than we do, so now we don’t really know who or what to believe…

Could it be true?

And would it have anything to do with Simon allegedly putting together a new One Direction at this year’s X Factor?

Because they’re irreplacable, Si, so don’t even try it.
