Simon Cowell has finally broken his silence on that X Factor New Zealand drama, and explained exactly why he had to get rid of nasty TV judges Natalia Kills and Willy Moon straight away.
Other than the fact that they were horrible and have 2007 Myspace names, obviously.
It seems as though even the man famed for the nickname ‘Mr. Nasty’ was left shocked and appalled by the vicious comments that the husband and wife duo unleashed onto singing hopeful Joe Irvine, which saw Natalia slag the poor guy off for daring to wear a suit whilst Willy compared him to Norman Bates.
No seriously, that actually happened.
Now speaking to the Daily Mail, Simon has slammed the couple and shared: “It was hateful. She sounded mad.
“It didn’t even make sense.”
You can say that again, Si.
However, the music mogul went on to add that they could have clung onto their careers if they’d just had some blimmin’ manners, revealing: “Where they cocked up was that they didn’t apologise straight away.
“If they’d both been genuinely sorry and called me, and apologised to the guy and his family, who knows what could have happened?
“They didn’t. They were quite defensive.”
Willy and Natalia were fired on the spot for their outrageous comments on the show, since then both former judges have posted lengthy statements and insisted that they were told to “be outspoken” and “stir things up” for entertainment purposes, although they didn’t appear to realise that slamming somebody for “copying your husband” by wearing a suit isn’t the same as Sharon Osbourne throwing water over Louis Walsh’s head.
To refresh your memories, when asked to give feedback on poor Joe’s performance, Natalia viciously ranted: “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m just going to state the obvious, we have a doppelgänger in our midst.
“As an artist who respects creative integrity and intellectual property, I am disgusted at how much you’ve copied my husband.
“From the hair to the suit, do you not have any value for respect for originality? You’re a laughing stock. It’s cheesy, it’s disgusting, I personally found it artistically atrocious.”
25-year-old Willy then backed his wife, adding: “To me it feels just a little bit cheap and absurd.”It’s like Norman Bates dressing up in his mother’s clothing.
“It feels a little creepy and I feel like you are going to stitch someone’s skin to your face and then kill everybody in the audience.”
Needless to say, viewers and celebs complained about their comments in their thousands and Natalia and Willy had been kicked to the kerb by Simon and co. before the next episode of the show.
