It seems that Simon Cowell is NOT impressed with BBC bosses, after Strictly Come Dancing beat The X Factor in the Sunday night ratings… and he’s not afraid to show it!

The music mogul and head judge took to Twitter to vent his frustration as the viewing figures were released on Monday morning, admitting that he was not loving this whole scheduling clash situation.

And we can see why!

He tweeted: “So the numbers are in. Strictly peak 9.4. X Factor peak 9.2. Round one to them. Such a shame they were both on at the same time!”

Yeah, sucks to be you, eh, Si?!

But the official figures released by ITV and BBC seemed to even MORE damning for poor Simon, Chez, Mel and Louis.

According to official ratings released by ITV, the singing contest pulled in 7.46m viewers at its peak, with an additional 673,000 watching on +1 and 764k tuning into to The Xtra Factor.

And over on the Beeb, Strictly apparently peaked at 8.43, which is exactly the same as the average ratings for last year’s launch show.

But while there isn’t a massive difference between the two (still isn’t great), we reckon Simon is fuming after losing the ‘first round’.

He’s a VERY competitive man after all!

Speaking exclusively to Yahoo Celebrity at The X Factor launch, Simon described the show’s tactics as ‘aggressive’ and ‘competitive.’

Don’t hold back, yeah, Simon!

He said: “I don’t pay too much attention. I mean, they are incredibly competitive with us.

They say they’re not but they are and we just found out that they put the show head-to-head with us which is quite aggressive and they did this in the past and I always say it annoys me because I think it’s not what the viewers want.”

Simon, 54, added: “It becomes a ratings battle and I think the public lose out.”

Tell it like it is yeah, Si!

He added: “I don’t worry about the ratings. What we do is try and make a better show than them and I think you need that kind of incentive so you don’t become complacent about everything.”

Think your tweet might beg to differ, Si! Bring on Round 2!
