Yet another budding celeb has been confirmed for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Blue’s Simon Webbe is the latest celebrity to be revealed as one of this year’s SCD line-up.
Simon appeared on the 2011 Christmas special of the show last year notching up a very respectable 36/40 prompting many to suggest that he could definitely be one to watch.
The 36-year-old said today: “I am so happy to be joining the team and I cannot wait to get started. I’m hopeful that Strictly Come Dancing will help me to improve on my daddy dancing skills.”
So what else do we know about this year’s series so far?
Well, 100% confirmed by the show are these lot:
- Alison Hammond best known for her appearance on Big Brother 3 in back in 2003 and then her work interviewing all sorts of stars on daytime telly hit This Morning.
- Kelly Brook’s fit ex, Thom Evans, a former rugby player apparently now keen on making it big in celebland.
- Andy Murray’s Mum Judy. An incredible booking, we are sure Wimbledon fans would agree.
- Frankie Bridge nee Sandford from The Saturdays.
There are still ten more celebrities to be announced meaning that the rumourmill is predictably in overdrive.
Pixie Lott, Eastenders actor Jake Wood and former Xtra Factor presenter Caroline Flack have all been reported as potential contestants.
Mark Wright has also admitted that he has ‘been in talks’ but hasn’t come to a decision just yet.
Speaking to The Mirror, he said: “I can say I’ve spoken to Strictly Come Dancing but I haven’t made a decision yet, nothing is confirmed but there have been chats.
“It’s an amazing show and I’d love to learn how to dance. It would be a great experience.”
