Steve Carell Admits He "Loves" Taylor Swift After Singing ‘Shake It Off’ During An Interview

It turns out that Steve Carell is a huge Taylor Swift fan, as he actually “loves” her, and he just happened to prove this by singing Shake It Off during an interview on American TV.

The Despicable Me star was being interviewed on ABC’s Popcorn with Peter Tavers, when he was asked about the music that plays in his head, and as an answer Steve gave a special rendition of Tay-Tay’s single.

When host Tavers asked Steve to tell him a snippet of “what’s going on in your head”, the 52-year-old paused for a moment and then sang: “And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.”

You know how the rest goes, and apparently so does Steve!

And, while he may not have given a pitch perfect rendition, he certainly seems to know the song down to a beat.

When a speechless Tavers asked Steve what that was all about, Steve made a pretty big confession.

He exclaimed; “I love it, I actually love Taylor Swift. I think she’s great!”

And, we’re kind-of inclined to agree with you on that one Steve.

Of course, this whole fan thing works two-ways, as Taylor was evidently chuffed that the A-list comedian knew her song.

As she rather excitedly tweeted: “RHNJHGHDFVHJOIYTDFBJJN I’m fine.”

Hmmm…as long as you’re sure Tay-Tay.

But all that aside were glad that Taylor has some big names coming-out in her favour, as recently she seems to have had her fair shar of hate.

Just the other week Katy Perry’s rumoured boyfriend Diplo laid into Taylor in a very public way over her booty, tweeting:

But then again, who cares about a tweet when Steve Carell sings your single on national TV!

If Steve was our fan we’d be on top of the world right about now.
