This year’s Strictly Come Dancing has probably been the most shocking series we can ever remember, with more shock exits and a-may-zing (darling) celebrity dancers randomly finding themselves in the dreaded dance-off week after week.
Last night was no different, as we literally gasped and screamed at the TV when Caroline Flack found herself in the bottom two with Alison Hammond.
SERIOUSLY PEOPLE WHAT ARE YOU DOING.
And yes, when we say literally gasped, we did LITERALLY. GASP. We were that shocked.
The pressure was on on Saturday night, as the couples were fighting to bag at place at next week’s Blackpool Tower competition. Swanky.
Flackers had a pretty successful night with her dreamy, romantic Waltz that transported us to a world where dishes and paperwork don’t exist (we can dream anyway), and had even managed a fourth place spot on the leaderboard with an impressive 31 points.
Well, we thought it was impressive, although the 35-year-old didn’t seem overally exciting about her own performance.
But it was the age old problem of being in the middle of the leaderboard that we think got Caroline unstuck, as she headed into the dreaded dance-off with Alison.
Alison had also had a pretty good night with her high-energy Charleston – mainly because she managed to grab a snog off Aljaz. NOT. JEALOUS. AT. ALL.
Much. Actually, make that TWO kisses after they performed the dance again in the hopes of making it through to next week’s Blackpool competition.
Yup, despite being just four points off the first page of the leaderboard, they found themselves waiting to dance again, again. Does that make sense? We don’t know anymore, this show has melted our brains.
Whilst the judges were still in as much shock as us over Caroline landing herself in this dreaded spot, all four decided to save her and sent Alison back to This Morning.
Is it wrong to say we genuinely shed a tiny tear when that was announced? Probably, but OH WELL.
Ali was gracious in defeat, saying: “Caroline smashed it tonight. I want her to go on and get to the final.
“I’ve had the best time ever and I am still going to Blackpool and I don’t care what anyone says!”
AGH CUTE. Her and partner Aljaz also had a mega cute BFF moment which made us cry AGAIN before they took to the floor for one last hurrah.
We’re properly gutted they’re gone, but also super happy Caroline and Pasha are staying.
NO MORE SHOCK DANCE-OFFS PLEASE GENERAL PUBLIC. Our hearts can’t take it and we’re so confused.
