It’s not Strictly Come Dancing without a shed load of fake tan.
And this year’s line-up have spent the last few days getting sprayed within an inch of a Digestive biscuit.
Strictly 2014 hopeful Frankie Sandford revealed she’s requested the deepest shade, ahead of this weekend’s official start of the competition.
She told Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw: “I just went straight for dark. Could you not smell us from outside? There’s definitely a whiff of biscuits.”
And just in case you were wondering whether the BBC One dance show is getting in the way of her personal life with footballer husband Wayne Bridge, well yes, it very much is.
But it’s not the lengthy dance rehearsals or the intimate time spent with professional partner Kevin that is driving a wedge between them in their marriage, it’s actually the St Tropez that’s getting in the way.
She told Grimmy: “I’ve got special tanning PJs. Long-sleeved ones. You know it’s not on when she puts those on. Oh dear roll over babe.”
Nick joked: “See you at Christmas, Wayne.”
Meanwhile fellow Strictly celeb Caroline Flack has joined The Saturdays star in embracing the bronze.
She said: “I’m brown. They said yesterday, do you want a tan, I wanted two. I double tanned. My bed this morning was disgusting – just this big brown stain.”
JOYOUS MENTAL IMAGE CAZZA.
And Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills is also taking the colour of his skin really seriously ahead of the weekend. He said: “I was first in the tanning booth yesterday. They’ve got three tanning tents at once. It’s in the schedule.”
