We just didn’t know he found Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals THIS strange.
Poor Steve. Sort of.
Yep, after spending his career in the great outdoors, the 41-year-old has admitted that he can find their studio time occasionally “claustrophobic,” which sounds like a whole world of fun.
Maybe just ask Ola Jordan to crack open a window love?
Despite a terrifying rock climbing injury involving 12 operations and years of rehab to recover, Steve’s apparently keen to get back out there and isn’t enjoying being trapped inside all too much.
He told The Sun: “I underestimated quite how much I am addicted to the outside and to my life as a naturalist.
“It has been quite claustrophobic sometimes being in a studio all day, every day.”
Well, we wouldn’t argue if you wanted to dance it out (with your guns out) in the park near us Steve.
GOOD NEWS THOUGH, as he’s also revealed that he’s keen to get his pythons out more in the live shows. HURRAH.
He admitted: “There is no way I’m going to keep my body under wraps after what I’ve achieved. If the guns need to come out, then they definitely will.”
This isn’t the only thing Steve’s been struggling with in rehearsals.
Reports recently emerged that the presenter had lodged a complaint against partner Ola, accusing her of BULLYING him.
Pretty strong allegations actually. Yikes.
Speaking to The Daily Mail, a source described how Ola’s tough approach wasn’t going down too well with her naturalist partner.
They said: “Steve is a very bouncy personality, up for any challenge, but Ola’s harsh treatment has flattened him and made him lose confidence – she was very rude and impatient when he found it difficult to master the shapes for last Saturday’s Charleston – and her choreography and tuition was so tough, Steve resorted to asking other people to show him what he had to do.”
However, despite both of them initially not commenting on the accusations, 32-year-old Ola has FINALLY come forward to set the record straight, thank GOD.
She explained: “It’s not very nice and I work hard on the show and I’ve been on it a long time, but I’m a tough cookie.
“I’ve had a lovely reaction from the public, there’s a lot of support out there for us. I want to win so we’re working hard.”
Surprisingly, Steve was in agreement, adding: “We’ve been training really hard, I think we have pretty much the same work ethic and attack everything with the same sort of vigour and it’s going great.
“She is fierce, but in a way that we both want to achieve.”
Just open a window in rehearsals and hopefully everyone will be happy again.
That’s a good solution, right?
