It was all going on in last night’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Not only did Claudia Winkleman make a glorious return following her three weeks off, but Caroline Flack suffered a slightly embarrassing slip-up as she performed the American Smooth.
The 35-year-old was embracing her routine with partner Pasha Kovalev when she appeared to lose her balance after getting tangled up in her long, flowing dress.
Ever-the-pro, Caroline managed to style out the blip and aside from a small stumble – and a brief flash of sheer panic on her face – she managed to pull herself together and perform the rest of the routine as though it had never happened.
Way to go, Caz.
Despite ultimately getting away with almost falling over, Caroline was clearly morified by the incident as she covered her face and sought comfort from Pasha as the duo made their way over to Tess Daly to hear the judges comments.
45-year-old Tess echoed our sentiments as she told Caroline not to worry about it, saying: “You styled it out and you carried on like a pro!”
But Caroline was having none of it as she revealed that almost tripping up was only the beginning.
Caroline explained: “I wasn’t even moving that much, I just stood on my dress and was like, wahhh.
“I nearly kicked someone in the audience, I’m so sorry!”
A kick in the head from Caroline Flack?
Probs not what that particular audience member had in mind for her Saturday night.
Despite the hoo-haa, the judges still awarded Caroline with a grand total of 33 points, leaving her comfortably near the top of the leaderboard.
You go, girl.
Meanwhile, host Claudia Winkleman was welcomed back to the show with a standing ovation from the audience.
The star was left devastated when her young daughter, Matilda, suffered serious burns after her Halloween costume caught fire whilst trick-or-treating.
Since then, Claudia was given ‘indefinite leave’ from the show as she kept a vigil at her daughter’s hospital bed with It Takes Two presenter, Zoe Ball, standing in for her on the live weekends.
Upon her return, Claudia said that it was “wonderful” to be back and thanked Zoe for covering for her, however, it wasn’t long before the quirky personality was back to her old self, joking about Tess bringing her back a donkey from last week’s Strictly special in Blackpool.
“I’m not even joking, I have a real donkey,” she quipped.
Never change, Claudes, never change.
