Strictly Come Dancing presenter and viewer favourite, Claudia Winkleman, gave an emotional shout-out to the extraordinary NHS staff who have being treating her daughter Matilda.
Taking to Twitter Claudia praised the “incredible” NHS team of doctors and nurses who have been caring for Matilda since her horrific burns accident on Halloween, and also revealed that she’ll be making her Strictly come-back this weekend.
Two pieces of news that we’re absolutely over-the-moon about!
The 42-year-old television star who took an indefinite break from the show to be by her daughter’s side had said that she would only return to work on Strictly when Matilda was 100%, and thankfully it looks as though the little one is starting to recover.
In her next tweets Claudia revealed that Matilda is doing much better and is on a “long road to recovery,” whilst also thanking the public for their loving messages of support.
And, of course our thoughts are still with Matilda, but we’re also very happy things are finally looking up for the Winkleman family after this hard time.
But, there was even more good news to come!
As she revealed she will be returning to our television screens this weekend, because she’s making her Strictly come-back.
Which has pretty much made our whole weekend already, and it’s only Friday night.
Claudia reckons that she might be a little rusty from the looks of her tweet…
However, we feel the gorgeous presenter will be her regular chirpy self as soon as she hits the set, and we don’t want to miss a moment of this glorious return.
Honestly, it’s almost like Brucey went and left for a second time!
Of course the most important news – throwing our SCD fanaticism to one side – is that little Matilda is getting better, and we’ll be keeping her in our thoughts till she’s 100% better.
But, we’d just like to say, welcome back to Claudia – we’ve missed you!
