Who’s ready for the weekend?
SW4 Festival kicks off this Saturday on Clapham Common and WE. ARE. READY. The electronic/dance focused fest will be bringing a huge party to south-west London featuring appearances from a whole cavalcade of the biggest DJ names out there. Get ready for the party with our Need-to-Know guide below.
What’s The SW4 Weekender?
SW4 started out as a community party for Clapham residents that grew and grew till by 2004 the event became an officially organised festival open to all. Since then the fest has seen performances from huge DJ’s such as Afrojack, Knife Party, Armin van Buuren, Baauer, and Dillon Francis. To put it simply, it’s a homegrown version of Electric Daisy Carnival.
Who’s on the line-up?
This year is seeing headline performances from Above & Beyond on Saturday and Deadmau5 on Sunday, both of which promise to have ribcage rattling levels of bass and absolutely eye melting pyrotechnics on display. Beyond these two giants there’s a varied mix of trap, drum and bass, and dub step DJs on across the weekend such as Skream, Alesso, GTA, Seth Troxler and more. Check out the full line-up here.
Who shouldn’t you miss?
Of the headliners our money is on Deadmau5. Even if you don’t love his brand of festival ready electro-house his stage show, in particular the trademark LED laden mask he wears to every performance, will be an absolute feast for the senses. Otherwise we encourage you to seek out party remix master DJs GTA who consistently turn out some of the best reinterpretations of your favourite pop songs out there. Just check out their remix of Iggy Azalea’s Fancy and know that you NEED to see them this weekend.
What’s the weather meant to be like?
At the moment we’re expecting clouds with scattered sunshine across the weekend, so for once wellies may not be a necessity (Oh, who are we kidding? Wellies are ALWAYS a necessity at festivals, let’s be honest).
Can I still get tickets?
Sunday and weekend tickets are totally sold out, but Saturday still has some on the go! Hit the link here to have a look.
